Posted: Wednesday, February 20, 2008 8:18 PM (CST) I work at a nursing home and I am a social worker there and my job is to make sure that my resident have want they need. The other day I was talking to one of the male residents and asked him if he needed anything and he said, my eyes are getting bad and I am unable to read my bible from home. Could you help read my daily devotions to me. So I did. That night on the way home from home, I passed a christian book store and I went in to see if they had a large print bible I could buy. Now i got $5.00 at church. So I went and got the bible and I went home and put it in a gift bag. The next day I went to give him the bible and he thought I was going in the read him his daily devotions and I said I think I have something in this bag that might make this easier for you. He open the bag and his eyes got big and he started to cry. I asked him why he was crying and he said he thought he would not be able to ever read the bible again. I walked out of the room and I started to cry because the feeling that I got I had never had before and I know that god is the one who made this happen.
