Perry Johnson Posted: Wednesday, February 20, 2008 12:37 PM (CST) When I first received the money I was given, I felt that God had laready laid on my heart to find a father and family, or mother and kids at a local eatery and treat them to a meal on God. But then as I started to really listen and seek God through prayer, a certain person kept coming to my mind. Now, I nevere argue, well ok, that is a lie, but I thought to myself, "Are you sure God?" She already has so many people who love her and are helping her, but again she came to my mind. This morning I woke up to find that this particualr young lady just gave birth to her first child, and knowing she is already single and struggling on her own, it just hit me more definate than ever, "Feed my sheep". I spoke with my wife and on my lunch hour today we went and visited with her and her new baby and I shared the story of how GracePoint has given out this money with the challenge to seek God's direction and use it for who He instructs us to. I explained that she has been on my mind and that I felt God wanted her to have this money, and I gave her the $50 dollars that was given to me, and she had a big smile and a heart felt Thank You. I have to say that I left there with a feeling of wholeness, and a big smile in my heart as well. I do not have much to give, but I do have more than others and I feel God is really pulling me to, Give Sacrificially and above what I can do. After all, it is all His anyways, and if the birds are provided food, how much greater are the things God has in store for us.
