We pondered the many different ways that we could use the money. Would we use it together or unleash kindness individually? We spent most of the week caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, still wondering every day what we should do with the money. I gave my $10 to a collection for a coworker who has a terminally ill spouse. This money collection is to be used to purchase gift cards for food or gas for she and her husband. My husband received a phone call mid-week from an estranged family member who needed some money to get by. She asked for a certain amount of money and he added to her request...totalling 15times the amount of money he received from Gracepoint! You know, both of us would have helped the people we chose to help this week, even if Gracepoint hadn't started this Unleash The Kindness campaign. But, the best part about it all is the feeling that we had in helping. It truly is better to give than to receive and giving does make you feel good!
